New Year's Eve Celebration

Thanks for the post from Hal Potter

New Year's Eve comes just once a year so I try to do something special to celebrate that we have survived yet another year in this hectic world we live in. When I say celebrate, I am not talking about going out and drinking until I cannot see straight. I just mean spending some precious time with people that I love.

Usually we just go to the home of a friend or family member whose house is big enough to accommodate lots of people. That is usually my aunt Sue who is retired now from her law practice. Everyone brings their favorite finger foods and Sue provides the drinks. Since you never can tell what will happen on New Year's Eve, we set our home security alarm fromhttp://www.SecurityChoice.com/ and then just don't even worry about our home. Set it and forget it is my motto.

I like to be one of the first to arrive so that I can get the choice parking spot so that I am off the street and my car is safe. Most of those that are gathered at aunt Sues are family but she likes it when we invite friends to come with us because she gets to meet new people. We start the evening about 8 and finish up as soon as the games we are playing are done.
